Raymond is where Route 101 crosses Routes 27, 102, 107 and 156 — five state roads through one 29-square-mile town. The village sits along the Lamprey River near Route 27: the Town Common with the Veterans Memorial Bandstand put up in 1976, the Dudley-Tucker Library that opened as a Carnegie library in 1908, and the old railroad depot that now holds the Raymond Historical Society. The Great Fire of 1892 took out the downtown, and what got rebuilt after it is a lot of what still stands.

Past the village it opens up fast. Residential and agricultural lots run off Long Hill Road and Freetown Road. Camps around Onway Lake and Governors Lake have been converted to year-round houses one at a time. The manufactured housing zone sits between Route 102 and Fremont Road above the Exeter River. Pawtuckaway State Park spills into the north end of town.

Whether you are clearing a garage off Route 27, emptying a camp on Onway Lake, or gutting a bathroom a block from the Common, Dumpster Dogs is the crew Raymond calls.

Local crew, and we bring the right size for the road you are on.

Raymond Has No Town Trash Pickup, and the Transfer Station Will Not Take Household Waste

Most people find this out the hard way.

Raymond does not run curbside collection. The town guidance is that residents contract with an independent waste collection service — your weekly trash is a private bill you set up yourself.

And the Transfer Station at 104 Prescott Road, operated by Casella, is recycling only. It is not licensed for household trash. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM, and Saturday 8 AM to noon.

To use it at all you need a Transfer Station Resident Permit. $43 a year, assigned to one Raymond-registered vehicle, affixed to that windshield to be valid, expiring December 31 and pro-rated by month. You need the permit both to drop recyclables and to get the resident rate on construction debris. Since the three-year operating agreement took effect February 1, 2025, there are two price columns — one for Raymond residents, one for everybody else.

Hazardous material gets one day a year: Household Hazardous Waste Day, at the end of Industrial Drive off Old Manchester Road, just north of Exit 4 on Route 101.

So a cleanout in Raymond is a permit, a registered vehicle, repeat trips inside a four-hour Saturday window, and a separate hauler for anything that counts as trash. Or it is one container in your driveway. If you are weighing the two, here is junk removal vs. dumpster rental in Raymond.

Five State Roads and 74 Miles of Town Road: Placement in Raymond

Raymond Public Works maintains 74 centerline miles of Class 5 road on top of the five state routes. What that means for a delivery is that Raymond is really two towns in one drop.

In the village — Main Street, Epping Street, the blocks around the Common — lots are older and tighter, and a smaller roll-off usually places cleaner and leaves your driveway usable.

Out on the residential and agricultural lots, and around Onway Lake and Governors Lake, there is room for any size we run. Two things to plan for. Septic: outside the small area on town water mains, properties run on private wells and individual septic systems, so we set the container off the tank and leach field, not over it. And the lake roads — plenty of them were built for summer camps, not loaded trucks. Send the address and we will tell you what we can get in before anybody is committed.

Raymond Barn, Garage and Estate Cleanouts

Most of Raymond owns its homes, and plenty of those houses have been in the same hands a long time. That is where the work is: barns, garages and outbuildings packed over decades, attics and basements nobody has been through in years, full estate cleanouts when a parent house finally sells, camps on Onway Lake getting handed down, and downsizing moves out of the village.

We handle it start to finish — furniture removal, appliance removal, mattress disposal, hoarder cleanouts and foreclosure cleanouts — and we donate and recycle what we can before anything sees a landfill.

Raymond Renovation & Demolition Debris

The transfer station will take construction and demolition debris — drywall, metal, shingles, clean wood, concrete — but only at the counter, only during station hours, and at the resident rate only if you are holding the permit. A bathroom gut does not fit in a pickup. A roof definitely does not.

We clear kitchen and bath demo, torn-up flooring, roofing, decking, and sheds and small structures coming down. Contractors working the Route 102 corridor or out by Industrial Drive: we keep your schedule.

Why Raymond Calls Us

No permit. No windshield sticker. No four-hour Saturday window. No second bill from a private hauler. One call, one container or one crew, and it is gone.

We are locally owned and we work northeastern Massachusetts, southern New Hampshire and southern Maine. When you call, you are talking to the person doing the work.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Raymond, NH have curbside trash pickup?

No. Raymond does not run municipal collection — residents contract an independent waste hauler on their own. The Transfer Station on Prescott Road takes recycling but is not licensed for household trash.

Do I need a permit to use the Raymond Transfer Station?

Yes. A Transfer Station Resident Permit is $43 a year, assigned to one Raymond-registered vehicle and affixed to that windshield. You need it to drop recyclables and to get resident pricing on construction debris. It expires December 31 and is pro-rated.

Can you get a dumpster down a camp road at Onway Lake?

Usually, with the right size and the right spot. Send us the address and a photo of the driveway and we will tell you what fits before we roll.

What size dumpster do I need in Raymond?

Depends on the project and the lot. Village driveways near the Common are tighter and suit a smaller roll-off; the larger residential and agricultural lots take any size. Tell us the job and we will size it.

Do you serve towns near Raymond?

Yes — Epping, West Epping, Danville, Derry, Newmarket and Exeter.

Fantastic communication. Excellent work and results spoke for themselves. Decades of junk gone in hours. We waited years to call these guys and they took care of everything super easy and efficient. Will use them again and again. These guys are the best!

Amy O'Neill

Everything about Dumpster Dogs was awesome and so smooth! From getting a quote, to coordinating drop off and pick up, the communication was easy, fast and clear. In addition to the quote being one of the lowest we got (and we got a lot) to the rental time being on the longer end, everything was great! Braeden was so easy to chat with via phone and text and was flexible with planning and coordination. I can't recommend them enough for your dumpster needs.

Paul Connolly

Timothy Corrigan

Fom start to finish, these guys were professional, fast, and reliable. I reached out and got a quick response, a fair quote, and they showed up exactly when they said they would—which alone sets them apart. They handled everything effortlessly, from heavy junk to awkward items, and left the space cleaner than I expected. Super friendly, no hassle, no upselling, just honest hard work. I’ll definitely be using Dumpster Dogs again and recommending them to anyone who needs a clean-out done right.
