Dumpster rental and junk removal in South Hampton — barn and outbuilding clearouts, estate cleanouts, renovation debris, and full-property cleanouts.
South Hampton is farm country. Despite the name it sits well inland, with no coastline and no commercial strip — farmland, woods, the Powwow River, and Amesbury and Salisbury sitting directly across the Massachusetts line. Main Avenue and Route 150 carry most of the traffic. Chair Hill is the high ground. The Jewell Town district along West Whitehall Road holds the oldest houses in town.
Whether you're clearing a barn off Main Avenue, emptying a farmhouse near Jewell Town, or cleaning out a property up toward Chair Hill, Dumpster Dogs is the crew South Hampton calls.
Local crew, right down the road, and we don't mind a long gravel driveway.
South Hampton's curbside gives you two barrels, and not one bag more. Past that you're buying town-issued yellow bags.
And curbside explicitly excludes yard waste, construction debris, and large articles. Cardboard has to be flattened and driven to the Grey Safety Building yourself.
For anything bulky, the town sends you to the Newton transfer station — out of town, on their hours, with a warning to arrive fifteen minutes before closing.
Two barrels does not clear a barn. And the nearest place to bring what won't fit is in the next town over.
Placement here is easy in every way that matters except one. Lots are large, driveways long, no on-street parking pressure — a full-size container goes on the property and stays out of everyone's way.
The one thing to plan for is the driveways themselves. A lot are gravel, several are long, and most have mature trees and stone walls at the edges. Tell us which drive you're on and we'll bring the right truck rather than discovering the problem at delivery.
The tight pocket is the older Jewell Town cluster, where 18th- and early-19th-century capes sit close to the road.
This is most of what we do here. Barns that have been filling since the fifties, outbuildings nobody's opened in years, and estates on properties held by one family for generations.
Construction debris is excluded from curbside outright, and there's no facility in town. Bath and kitchen demo, flooring pulled up, roof tear-offs, barns and sheds — one container, sitting on your own property.
South Hampton's curbside covers two 35-gallon barrels at no charge. Beyond that you're buying town yellow stickers at $2.00 a bag or $20.00 for a roll of ten. Trash goes out Tuesdays, recycling every other Tuesday, curbside by 6am.
The bigger issue for a cleanout is what's excluded. The town states plainly that no yard waste, construction debris or large articles are accepted curbside. Even flattened cardboard is out of the curbside program — that goes to the Grey Safety Building on Main Avenue.
And South Hampton has no transfer station. For anything bulky, residents go to the Newton Transfer Station, which means loading, driving and paying by the item in another town.
This is a town of fewer than 900 people with an unusual amount of old building stock for its size. The Jewell Town District, listed on the National Register in 1983, is a colonial industrial village at West Whitehall Road and Jewell Street — wood-frame houses dating from about 1740, most built before 1850, where sawmills, a gristmill, a fulling mill and bog iron works once ran on the Powwow River. The Woodman Road district holds a c. 1830 house with a 19th-century barn and 25 acres of former farmland. Barns like that hold a lot, and none of it fits in two barrels. A dumpster on site or a single truckload is usually the whole answer.
Two barrels a week and a drive to Newton, or a container in your own yard.
No. South Hampton's curbside service excludes construction debris, yard waste and large articles entirely.
The town directs residents to the Newton transfer station — out of town, on their schedule. Or we take it from your driveway.
Most South Hampton properties take the largest container we run. Worth checking driveway surface and tree cover first.
Yes — Kensington, Seabrook, Newton and Plaistow, plus Amesbury, Salisbury and Merrimac right across the Massachusetts line.
